Anosa, Victor O.

Anosa studied veterinary medicine at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and obtained the MVM and PhD degrees from the universities of Glasgow and Ibadan, respectively. He had postdoctoral training at University of California, Davis. He is Fellow, Royal College of Pathologists, and Fellow, College of Veterinary Surgeons. He taught veterinary pathology at Ibadan (1972-2010, becoming professor in 1983), and is currently at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Nigeria. He was vis. sci. at ILRAD/ILRI, Nairobi, Kenya. His research interests centred on histopathology, haematology and ultrastructural pathology, and the interactions between the tropical environment and domestic and experimental animals. Models used in these studies include Trypanosoma vivax and T. congolense infections of ruminants, T. brucei infections of mice, and helminthiasis in ruminants.
