Moudachirou, Mansourou

Moudachirou is professor, Laboratoire de Pharmacognosie et des Huiles Essentielles (LAPHE), Université d’Abomey Calavi, Cotonou, Benin. He is an expert in the field of chemistry, especially relating to essential oils and medicinal plants. He has contributed to the valorisation of local resources through the study of essential oils and aromatic plants of the Benin-Togo-Ghana area with applications in foods, beverages and aromatherapy and the evaluation of ethnobotanical medicinal plants of Benin for the treatment of malaria, bovine dermatophilosis, Buruli ulcer etc. He is Secrétaire Perpétuel of the National Academy of Science, Benin, member of the West African Society of Chemistry (SOACHIM), Burkina Faso, and has won the Diplôme de Mérite de l’Université du Togo in 1990 and Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite du Bénin in 2002.
