Oyewusi Ibidapo-Obe (PhD, 1976, U. of Waterloo) is Dist. Prof. of Systems Engineering, U. of Lagos, and Officer of the Natl. Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is Vice-Chancellor, Fed. U. Ndufu Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State, Nigeria (2011-). He is former President, Nigerian Academy of Science. His honours include: Commonwealth Scholar,Canada; U. of Waterloo Post-Doctoral Fellow; NSERC/CIDA Research Fellow; Senior Fullbright Research Fellow, U. of Buffalo, USA; and Scholar-in-Residence, Penn State U., USA; Vis. Prof., Texas Southern U., Houston, Texas, USA. He pioneered studies on stochastic methods in mechanics, especially using Martingale concepts to the control of nonlinear dynamical systems. His major academic contributions are published in over 100 internationally refereed journal publications. He was Vice-Chancellor, U. of Lagos (2000-2007).
